New on pingis.work – Singles and Better Challenges

A lot has happened on pingis.work lately. Most importantly, we've made it easier to play more often – and more fun to challenge both your colleagues and other players.

Here are three new features now available on the platform.

1. Play Singles – now two players are enough

Until now, you've been able to play Round-the-Table and King on pingis.work. We've now added another game type: Singles.

That means you no longer need to gather a bigger group to start playing. If two colleagues are ready for a match, you're good to go.

Just like before, you register the result on pingis.work and keep building your personal statistics.

Perfect for a lunchtime match, a quick break from the screen, or that rematch that absolutely needs to be settled before the end of the working day.

Two players. One table. Who wins?

2. New Challenges – compete for steps or points

We've also made Challenges more flexible.

When creating a Challenge, you can now choose between two different goals: steps or points.

Choose steps and set a target for the Challenge. You'll also get a countdown showing how far there is to go before the goal is reached.

It creates a simple and motivating question:

Can we reach the goal together?

The person creating the Challenge decides what the target should be – and what, if anything, is waiting at the finish line.

It could be anything from bragging rights and a trophy to a shared reward when you reach your goal.

If you choose points instead, participants compete based on the points they collect on the platform.

Two different ways to create a Challenge, depending on what motivates your workplace.

3. Challenge the entire pingis.work community

The third update takes the competition beyond your own company.

You can now create Global Challenges.

A Global Challenge can invite players from across the entire pingis.work platform to participate. That means your Challenge no longer has to stay within your own office or company.

This opens up a whole new range of possibilities.

Companies can create Challenges involving players from different workplaces. Partners can invite the entire pingis.work community. And we can create bigger Challenges where players from across the platform work towards the same goal.

Suddenly, it's not just the colleague on the other side of the table who's part of the competition.

The whole pingis.work community can join in.

More ways to play. More ways to challenge.

These three updates all have one thing in common: we want to make it easier to bring more table tennis into the working day.

Sometimes you're ten colleagues playing Round-the-Table. Sometimes there are just two of you ready for a Singles match. Sometimes you want to challenge your own department – and sometimes you want to challenge the entire pingis.work community.

Now you have more ways to do all of it.

Log in to pingis.work, start a game or create a Challenge and try out the new features.
